Traveling the Stroke Road

Jun17

Written by Aaron DeLay

From one end to the other, life is a fascinating discovery. At times glorious…and frustrating. Simply put, that’s life.

Just over two months ago I had a stroke that sent my world and life sideways on a train wreck that threatened to push me over the edge. Thankfully, I’m still here and no worse for the wear…for the most part. I’m still struggling with a left leg that refuses to heal completely. Along with that comes job changes, housing changes and everything else that seems to appear out of nowhere.

Again, part of life. I’ve come to terms that each day post stroke will be a struggle figuring out how to live with the effect of my brain circuitry going haywire. I’ve got a long road ahead of me…but that road promises to be a fascinating journey.

I’m doing well. I move apartments this weekend. I’ve packed just about everything up (including my laptop) and will be slowly working on this website this week. You’ll notice a few changes (I upgraded the code) and there are a things I have to push and pull to make work a little better.

I’m sorry I haven’t updated here as much as I should have. As the move happens I’ll be better suited to keep my online updates and posts more regular and content filled. And the main purpose of this blog (to help me through recovery from a stroke) will remain the main focus of my writing.

I hope you will continue with me on that journey.

Tally ho and all that.
