This is Political and Religous

If you cannot read something related to religion and/or politics without reacting in a rage-filled un-compromising argument…do not read any further.

wait…

wait…

waaaaait.

Ok.  Now.  The following comments and quotes were pulled from yahoo news.  Read these articles.  Read them out loud.  Read them again to yourself.  And then read them out loud.  If you have not come to understand anything about these words at that point..then we need to talk.

“You infidels and despots, we will continue our jihad (holy war) and never stop until God avails us to chop your necks and raise the fluttering banner of monotheism, when God’s rule is established governing all people and nations,” said the statement by the Mujahedeen Shura Council, an umbrella organization of Sunni Arab extremist groups in Iraq.

Another Iraqi extremist group, Ansar al-Sunna, challenged “sleeping Muslims” to prove their manhood by doing something other than “issuing statements or holding demonstrations.”

“If the stupid pig is prancing with his blasphemies in his house,” the group said in a Web statement, referring to the pope, “then let him wait for the day coming soon when the armies of the religion of right knock on the walls of Rome.”

In Iran, supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei used the comments to call for protests against the United States. He argued that while the pope may have been deceived into making his remarks, the words give the West an “excuse for suppressing Muslims” by depicting them as terrorists.

“Those who benefit from the pope’s comments and drive their own arrogant policies should be targeted with attacks and protests,” he said, referring to the United States.

“His comments really hurt Muslims all over the world,” Umar Nawawi of the radical Islamic Defenders’ Front said in Jakarta. “We should remind him not to say such things which can only fuel a holy war.”

Islamic countries also asked the U.N. Human Rights Council to examine the question of religious tolerance. Malaysia’s foreign minister, Syed Hamid Albar, said Benedict’s apology was “inadequate to calm the anger.

The Dominican mission in Cairo also criticized Benedict’s words, saying he chose a text for his speech that “revived the polemics of the past.”

“These comments, seen by many Muslims as hurtful, risk encouraging extremists on all sides,” it said in a statement, “and put in danger all the advances in dialogue made in recent decades.”

If you are indifferent to the previous statements or it does not concern you in anyway…

Littlegreenfootballs is a good start.  Also, Michelle Malkin is someone else you should read.  Look for the stories about The Pope and the reaction his words are recieving.  This has been written to death on the conservative and (maybe) moderate blogsphere…I’m not sure if the Liberal or Left blogs have thought this whole muslim reaction thing is something to be worried about.  I hope they see the cause and affect.  You make fun of Mohammed.  They scream and kill and light things on fire.  You call into question their peace.  They say they’re going to kill you.

You can label me a right wing freak.  Fine.  Nice job being tolerant.  You can label me a worry wart.  Fine.  Next time the police announce they’ve stopped a attack, don’t think of me.  You can say I’m racist.  Fine.  But I’m not.  I recognize that religion can/has/will/does play a roll in this whole debacle.  A religion that threatens violence because you make fun of their leader is not tolerant.

I know I’ve probably mispelled a whole lotta words there and I really don’t care.  What I care about is saying what needs to be said.  The Islamofascists are increasing.  The rage and anger is building.  The inablity to deal with a emotional reaction is amazing and terrifying.  If you make fun of Jesus, I’ll laugh it off.  That’s between you and The Lord.  I’m happy to make fun of myself and my religon.  Because it is funny sometimes.

If you can’t laugh, something’s not right.

Something is rotten in the state of the Middle East.  We are losing a battle not because we’re feeding fire to the fuel.  We’re losing it because the fire is being fed from inside.  Angry Mullahs (I know, I can’t spell) and Imans fire the crowds up after prayer.  Iran is hell bent.  Cuba is looking really shifty.  Venazuela has a guy who thinks we’re going to invade his shores and practices with the men and equipment because he wants to look strong.  these three guys got together this last weekend with a multitude of other people who generally don’t like us.

Why?  Because we refuse to support their genocide.  We refuse to support their terror filled ways.  We refuse to support the people who only care about money, power and the ability to all of that without question, without confrontation and without consequences.

I know I’ll find the left assailing my comments sooner or later.  They’ll brand me as a war mongerer.  They’ll say I’m bigoted.  They’ll say all kinds of things.  Or maybe they won’t!  They might agree with me!  Heck, I don’t know.  What I do know is this Islam thing isn’t going away.  It took months for the whole Denmark/Mohammad Cartoons madness to calm down and even then it wasn’t calmed down…it was just resting beneath the surface.

Now someone said something *gasp* insulting and we have to burn things, make signs that say we’re killing everyone but those that believe in our idea.

Rosie O’Donnell said that Extremist Christians are more dangerous than Extremist Muslims.

I think I might agree with her.  You want to know why?

Because we say what needs to be said.  And if it goes the other way, we’ll protest.  Sure.  We’ll do a law suit.

But we’ll usually handle it with a cool head.

Do you hear me Islamofascists?  Nope.  Because you’ve already put together a sign with my name on it and burned my effigy in front of my place.  You stopped listening when I offended you.

I heave a sigh because I know this won’t change.  It’s too far gone.  The pope as already said he regrets the reaction…but he hasn’t said sworry for offwending twhem.  And he shouldn’t.

So, doctor’s orders?  Take the preceeding with a grain of salt, water and call me in the morning.  I’m going to bed.  I have a serious case of the “This world drives me nuts sometimes”.
